Kanjis 리더 개인정보 처리방침
Kanjis 리더는 kanjis.ai 학습자를 위한 Chrome 확장 프로그램입니다. 하는 일은 두 가지입니다. 웹페이지에서 일본어를 선택하면 그 자리에 Kanjis 폰을 띄워 내 카드를 찾아 주고, Kanjis 리더가 서버에서 가져오지 못한 글을 내 브라우저로 열어 읽어 옵니다. 이 문서는 그 과정에서 확장 프로그램이 다루는 정보를 모두 적은 것입니다.
선택한 글
- 일본어를 선택하면 그 옆에 Kanjis 표시가 나타납니다. 표시를 누르기 전에는 선택한 글이 페이지 밖으로 나가지 않습니다.
- 표시를 누르면 선택한 글만 Kanjis 폰(kanjis.ai)에 전달되고, Kanjis 서버에서 내 카드를 검색하는 데 쓰입니다.
- 확장 프로그램은 내가 보는 페이지의 주소, 내용, 방문 기록을 수집하지 않습니다.
Kanjis 리더가 여는 글
- kanjis.ai의 리더에 주소를 넣으면 먼저 Kanjis 서버가 그 페이지를 가져옵니다. 서버는 가져온 글을 저장하지 않습니다. 실패했을 때만 원인과 사이트 이름을 기록합니다.
- 서버가 가져오지 못하면 확장 프로그램이 그 주소를 내 브라우저의 새 탭으로 열고, 글의 제목과 본문만 꺼내 kanjis.ai 페이지에 넘깁니다. 본문은 50,000자까지이며 HTML, 쿠키, 헤더는 넘기지 않습니다. 읽기가 끝나면 탭을 닫습니다.
- 이 요청은 kanjis.ai 페이지만 보낼 수 있습니다. 내부 네트워크 주소와 로그인 정보가 들어간 주소는 열지 않습니다.
- 가져온 글은 kanjis.ai 페이지 안에만 있습니다. 내가 번역을 누른 문단만 Kanjis 서버로 보내지고, 번역을 위해 Google Gemini API에 전달됩니다.
로그인
- Kanjis 폰이 다른 사이트 위에서도 로그인된 상태로 보이도록, 확장 프로그램은 kanjis.ai에 로그인된 내 계정의 접근 토큰을 폰 안의 Kanjis에 전달합니다.
- 토큰은 메모리에만 있고 저장하지 않습니다. 오래 유지되는 갱신 토큰은 kanjis.ai 밖으로 나가지 않습니다.
- 토큰은 이 확장 프로그램이 직접 띄운 kanjis.ai 화면에만 전달되며, 다른 사이트는 받을 수 없습니다.
내 브라우저에 저장하는 것
- 폰을 마지막에 둔 위치와 접어 두었는지 여부(chrome.storage.local).
- 어느 탭에 폰이 열려 있는지(chrome.storage.session, 브라우저를 닫으면 사라집니다).
그 밖에는 아무것도 저장하지 않습니다.
하지 않는 것
- 정보를 판매하거나, 광고에 쓰거나, 위에 적은 목적 밖의 제3자에게 넘기지 않습니다.
- 분석 도구나 추적 코드를 넣지 않습니다.
- 신용 평가나 대출 목적으로 쓰지 않습니다.
지우기와 문의
확장 프로그램을 삭제하면 브라우저에 저장된 위치 정보도 함께 지워집니다. Kanjis 계정과 학습 기록에 대한 문의, 이 방침에 대한 질문은 support@kanjis.ai로 보내 주세요. 방침이 바뀌면 이 페이지의 시행일을 고칩니다.
Kanjis Reader Privacy Policy
Kanjis Reader is a Chrome extension for learners on kanjis.ai. It does two things: when you select Japanese on a web page it opens the Kanjis phone beside it and searches your cards, and it opens articles the Kanjis reader could not fetch in your own browser. This page lists everything it handles.
Text you select
- Selecting Japanese shows a Kanjis mark beside it. Nothing you select leaves the page until you press that mark.
- When you press it, only the selected text is passed to the Kanjis phone (kanjis.ai) and used to search your cards on the Kanjis server.
- The extension does not collect the addresses, contents or history of the pages you visit.
Articles the Kanjis reader opens
- When you enter an address in the reader on kanjis.ai, the Kanjis server tries to fetch it first. It does not store what it fetches; on failure it logs the cause and the site name.
- If the server cannot fetch it, the extension opens the address in a new tab of your browser and passes only the title and article text (up to 50,000 characters) back to the kanjis.ai page — never HTML, cookies or headers. The tab is closed afterwards.
- Only kanjis.ai pages can make this request. Private network addresses and addresses carrying credentials are refused.
- The article stays in the kanjis.ai page. Only a paragraph you choose to translate is sent to the Kanjis server, which passes it to the Google Gemini API for translation.
Sign-in
- So that the Kanjis phone is signed in on other sites, the extension passes the access token of your kanjis.ai session to the Kanjis inside the phone.
- The token is held in memory only and never stored. The long-lived refresh token never leaves kanjis.ai.
- The token is passed only to kanjis.ai pages the extension itself opened; other sites cannot receive it.
What is stored in your browser
- Where you last left the phone, and whether it was tucked away (chrome.storage.local).
- Which tab has a phone open (chrome.storage.session, cleared when the browser closes).
Nothing else is stored.
What it does not do
- No data is sold, used for advertising, or transferred to third parties beyond the purposes above.
- No analytics or tracking code.
- No use for creditworthiness or lending purposes.
Removal and contact
Removing the extension removes what it stored in your browser. Questions about this policy or your Kanjis account: support@kanjis.ai. If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it.
